So SYM is a Suzuki affiliate? I get rather confused by all the connections between Chinese and foreign companies. How close is the Wolf SB250Ni to the GW250 in your opinion? Are these bikes being sold in China?

I do not think Suzuki is affiliated with SYM, there are lots of companies that make copies of other manufacturers models, some of the SYM 125 are not identical to Suzuki models, as their engines and other parts are different then the actual Suzuki models. They are more a knock offs then any kind of authorized or unauthorized reproduction of another companies designs.

The SB250Ni is not a twin like the GW250 it has a DOHC 4-valve single…

As far as it being sold in china…not likely unless they set up a production line in china and they could, the bike would likely sell well there. SYM does have partners in china , I would say not in the near future but eventually possibly. To me that is the part that is confusing…the why not sell that in china is very confusing.

I saw a new model SYM wolf in the car park of my work last week. Looks great. I will try to remember to take a snapshot if I see it again.
As for affiliations - I always assumed SYM were still in bed with Honda. I spent a couple of very happy years riding an original White Wolf (an authorised CG125 copy) in Taiwan about 15 years ago - an amazingly robust machine.
