If you go down to 42 you will find the bike will struggle to maintain speed on long inclines or headwinds. The gearing will be too high unless some performance upgrades are made.

I think the DR200 exhaust will fit but it'll be expensive to buy new. I'm very happy with my Xian racing universal stainless can. It's lighter, should last years and there's a performance bonus due to the loss of the catalysed factory silencer.

Read all about it on this thread:

well i live in florida, so we have no inclines but do have some windy days. i just want to be able to maintain 60-65 with not so much vibration and lower RPMs. I dont mind spending the money on an exhaust but i cannot find any parts online for he dr200 or 200es

on bikebandit.com they have parts for the 2008 suzuki DR200es, but the only rear sprocket they have is a 39 and 44

I found the pro circuit t4 exhaust for 239, will i notice a big difference between a full exhaust and a slip on? i cant seem to find a sprocket at all

Also,if i were to purchase this what bike from the drop down selectiong would i chose for best fitment of this bike. what size chain and sprockets come stock on these?

Dennis Kirk has the 44T rear sprocket for the Qlink XF200. The part number is 818344S. I got it for about $24 delivered. I also changed my front to a 16T (like volksjagger) that enhances the drivability. I can't remember where I got the front sprocket but there is spacer in the package rather than having it be part of the sprocket so there is no milling involved for our application. I am on lunch at work so I will post where I got it from when I get home.

    Hi AirFramer,

Check out the link forchetto posted above about the exhaust we have on our bikes. If you go to post #41 on page 5 I have my write up and the ebay link to where you can get the same exhaust can here in the USA.

I got my 16 tooth front sproket from Sprocket Specialists part #550-16 for around $30 shipped and it bolted right on with no modification at all, it alone made a big difference and I dont think you would need to change the rear sprocket if you go with the 16t up front.

With the new exhaust, removed SAI, 16t front sprocket and my re-jetted carb my bike is like a whole new machine...it has no problem running 60 now!!!

I like the pipe I was just concerned about how it would sound, i like how the pro circuit pipes sound and used them before so i know their performance. but that pipe in the ebay link looks really nice, in the link it comes with a header too, does that not fit? i mean its made for a 50cc engine. what is the SAI that is blocked off? i am just wanting to cruise 60mph at lower RPM,much lower then what it takes now being stock

My exhaust does sound really good, its loud and has a really deep tone, I get told all the time it sounds like a 400cc bike.

The header pipe that comes with it is just trash, it wont fit our bikes and is made for a 50cc scooter application.

Even though it says its for a 50cc that doesnt matter, this thing has a huge inner diameter and flows great on our engine.

I replied to your post about the SAI in another thread. But the SAI justs injects air into the exhaust stream to burn excess gas fumes that the engine didnt burn causing everything to run alot hotter.

Generally, yes. It's basically optional and won't destroy your bike if you leave it on or take it off. It's a matter of preference and how much time you want to spend messign around with your bike.

There was one hose going to the carb and one hose going to the air box, I just went to the local auto parts store and bought a box of different size rubber covers and covered both fittings.
