    Dear MJH,

Those big growth jumps are less impressive if starting from a low base. What were the actual production numbers for these? Presumably in the thousands or tens of thousands, not the hundreds of thousands....

Never even heard of them, though their scoots look like fun.

    cheers!

    Your right….

WYS manufactured 88,850 units for the 1st-10th months of 2010, for the same period 2011 they manufactured 205,589. They ranked 29th in the top 50 manufacturers, but that is only 0.93% of that top 50’s total production.

For the first three quarters of 2010 WYS exported 37,208 units, in 2011 they exported 144,967. They rank 19th their exports valued at about $6.2M, of total exports of the top 50 which is about $4.9B.

The growth is what is phenomenal…

They must have the formula correct…maybe?
It is impossible to tell without more detailed information.

They all seem to have relegated themselves to under 150cc, WYS does offer vertical engine vehicles, they offer CG125-150 types “farmers bike”. But they also have, as many of the manufactures do, other small engine products, that being generators and lawn and garden products. http://www.wangye.com.cn/

I have to laugh at their web development provider.

The name is hilarious…they only stole half of two names.

However the website is fairly well done.

Zhejiang Taizhou Wangye Power Co., Ltd. has progressed to 24th in the Top 50 producers of motorcycles in China. As of May 2012 its growth rates is up 85% from last year. Wangye is still holding the 19th position in the Top 50 exporter and posting YTD growth over 2011 at 136%.

Most manufacturers are posting lost production numbers, however many are posting increased unit exports, so moving up in production is easier then moving up in export rankings.

What is their secret? It is not really a secret….just google; Zhejiang Taizhou Wangye Power Co. ltd, they are organized.

Wangye stopped growing in 2012, they are primarily a scooter manufacturer.
