I really have a lot of affection for the Yamaha Tricker, it is close to the perfect bike for me at 180cm tall. At 180lb it may not actually be powerful enough for my weight, but I think it would be acceptable with its 20hp and EFI.
The Tricker and its retro TY-S version are not currently offered in the USA….even if they were I would not likely be willing to put out the price they would likely ask for one.

The XG250 is basically a Yamaha XT250 and that model has a $5,000 MSRP in the USA. The XT250 is a great bike but sort of vanilla as for looks.
The engine is shared as well as the frame on these.
But only the engine is shared with the YBR250.
However I do not believe the two engines are coming off the same production lines, Yamaha claims the XT250 engine offered in the USA is manufactured in Japan. The YBR250 engine to the best of my knowledge is manufactured in China.
