Mahindra had some problems with the transmission on its Stallio motorcycle, they resolved those and it has been re-launched currently available at an on the road price in India of about $1,000.00 USD. It also comes with a 4 year factory warranty.

    The Stallio
    only has a 110cc horizontal engine, but it delivers 7.3hp @ 7500rpm.

Mahindra also has partnered with SYM they offer two scooters that are SYM manufactured.

There is also rumors that the SYM T1 may be offered in India as a Mahindra Cevalo 125. Which could also be offered as a Cevalo 250 if they choose to import the SYM T2 as well.

    Mahindra is promoting their Mojo.

    158,000.00 INR = 2,357.03 USD
The also have some concept models of the 300, Mojo may end up being a line rather then just a single offering.

I doubt Mahindra are assembling anything better than most of the Chinese companies, but they seem to actually make a Brand name and stick with it, and spend money to improve its reputation. That might be what makes all the difference in 20 years time.

It’s interesting stuff, Mahindra Group is large, they have a lot of engineering and manufacturing experience. Divisions within groups can have varying results, varying success. They start often with Joint ventures, technology sharing, in this instance Mahindra is developing a design I believe they acquired and then subsequently refined and tested it in house. It took a long time to get to the market because they are establishing manufacturing for motorcycles from the ground up. However, they have lots of manufacturing process control knowledge as they are the world largest producer of tractors.

I predict they will do what they need to do to succeed, the Mojo may not be the vehicle that breaks any records in sales, hard to say? I predict that most perceive the Mojo as less than an appealing design if not ugly. It may garner allot of sales domestically it being a domestic industry milestone. Some may embrace in support of that?
Mahindra makes a line a side by sides they sell in the USA, not inexpensive. Just like CFMOTO and Hisun that sell pretty well here, crossing into motorcycles sales is a different market. Often times totally different retailing outlets.
Mahindra has a long way to go and as with any venture they have to make sales and garner market share or the group supporting them can and will pull the plug on them. Startups are costly and wrong turns very expensive.
I am not so sure that the conceptualizing of the Mojo frame as a potentially universal frame is such a viable concept. The dual sport looks very top heavy.
