"What’s different however is the Pulsar is carbureted with a single overhead cam while the Duke is fuel-injected with a DOHC. The Pulsar also makes use of a triple-spark configuration compared to the Duke’s single spark plug."

"The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS’ engine claims an output of 23.1 hp at 9500rpm compared to the KTM Duke 200′s 24.7 hp at 10000rpm. Torque also takes a slight dip with the Pulsar claiming 13.5 ft-lb. at 8000rpm compared to the Duke’s claimed 14.0 ft-lb. at 8000rpm."

    Affordable version…..Prestige version.

It is pretty safe to assume that we will be seeing a 350cc soon, by the end of the year and likely the 350cc Duke will come with a 350cc BAJA counter part.

There may be some industry apprehension in selling these types of motorcycles in the USA, some fear that they will win favor over other models and lower cost taking over?

The Honda CB250R is not changing anything, it is very nice motorcycle but it is sort of vanilla. It is definitely affordable, but just not that striking to look at.

The CB250R has some odd elements…too much plastic and also an oddly over sized muffler. It also leans more towards a race ridding position…it definitely is not getting high amounts of attention.

The GW250 Suzuki is more visually interesting then the CB250R, it also offers more with a twin and a much more beefy appearance…but it comes off utilitarian, which is not necessary a bad thing.

The KTM and Bajaj are and have much more of an aggressive stance, that is an order winner to many young riders.

You can still get the HiSun Megelli 250R it is available in the USA still.
    MSRP $3,399.00

It looks just like a race bike…sept its much smaller. I have heard rumors that it was revised and improved, but also that all that is in the USA is the initial model year, so the revisions are not included?

Then SYM will also be offering its rendition of that DOHC 249cc single as the T2.

The T2 has some likeability, but still appears to have a cheaply made factor, not to the extent of the Megelli though.

The fourth coming 350cc version may look more like a KTM the 200NS definitely does not look like a clone of the 200cc KTM DUKE though, so I have to wonder how reliable of a prediction is this image?

The 2012 200NSwill be the fastest domestic production bike India offers, it will displace the Pulsar 220 DTS-I from that title when it is released this year and then it will be then dethroned by the 350cc in 2013.

Bajaj’s target is a 3% increase in its total domestic market share, they are currently at 27%. .
