    G'Day,

Did a 12 month bike tour around and across the big Island called A-U-S-T-R-A-L-i-A in 1988 (25000+k's) and kept my trusty H-D FL for almost 20 years back in Oz for touring between Melbourne - Sydney - Brisbane - Cairns.

October 2011 brought me once back to Western Australia and did the WA Goldfields Ride (Golden Quest Discovery Trail) Perth - Coolgardie - Menzies - Kookynie - Laverton - Lenoara / Gwalia - Lake Ballard - Kalgoorlie - Esperance - Albany - Perth (total approx. 5000k's with a BMWF800GS).

Right now, I am in the final planning stages for my 2012 Australia's Longest Short-Cut 14 day trip (Perth >> Brisbane): http://www.outbackway.org.au
Still haven't decided to take a BMW GS1200A or Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 on the Outback highway.......

Always going prepared as promising signs in remote Aussie Outback areas can fool anyone easily....

I like your packing method. But I've got to ask, were you getting the Jack Links? Is it available in Oz? I've only seen it in America.

Another ignorant question, is Bundaberg a whiskey?

    G'Day,

Jack Links = New Zealand product available widely in AUS, NZ and you can get in Hong Kong as well (CitySuper - HK IFC / Great Food Hall - Pacific Place).

Bundaberg Rum (Australia) is for decades my favourite alcoholic beverage, either with soda, ginger beer or coke.
Bundy has a very special taste and either you like Bundy or hate Bundy......

    G'Day,

San Pellegrino = favourite mineral water, actually having one right now with a double Bundy Rum in Shenzhen Futian McCawley's Irish pub.
Sorry, won't drink Tsingtao beer either or any other crappy Chinese beers or booze...... to each their own and absolute no need to discuss food and beverage choices in a bike forum.

Ride on, have a nice and relaxed weekend!

    "fish fuck in it"

Well if it's groundwater than it might have been years and years ago. I had a beer called a "Keller" that tasted like it was brewed in a fish tank.

    The point is, he's hydrated.
