04-14-2012, 03:49 AMChinV,
You are a funny guy........lol.
Yeah, I am going to buy a BMW in Shanghai and ride it in China.
I read a Norwegian couple in ADV, they brought a new 2k Chinese bike each and rode around China .
This happened last year or the year before.
Then they sold it to the Border Guards in Mongolia for $500 each before they crossed over to Soviet.
In 09' a YOUNG Singaporean was help by a fellow member in here (a French expat).
He paid $300 for a 150cc Chinese bike, travel a month and sold it before went over Kazakhstan.
I been wanting to ride in China for a long time and read as much as I can on the subject of others who had done it.
It happen that finally I could do it in the next couple of months.
When I ask, I was told rules had change and not possible if I want to copy other who had done it previously.
I was born in HK and thinking if I gain my HK residence card and Hk driver license, i might be legal in China.
Do anyone have knowledge, if China Authority recognized HK driver license?
On the registration of the bike, I wonder if the bike dealers still willing to put their names on the bike and create
paper works to authorize me to ride it around?
Now, I am desperate to listen to any crazy idea or innovative suggestions to solve my problem.
I am all prepare if my bike get confiscated(very unlucky) but I don't want my butt to be slam in jail by the police.
I'll try to be as legal as possible just in case I got stop by the authorities.
So Please, I am all ears!
Thanks in advance for your helps.

Now,that Just the bike I am dreaming of.
Let the secret out, I am a 250s pounder, 5'10'', totally out of shape.
I ride a 250cc WR250R in the State and it had took me to many places.
So the more CC the better for me, I heard there are hills in China.......hehe
I read on this forum about some Yamaha that is made in China, that would be nice if I can find a used one.
Thanks for the offer, how many cc on that bike anyway?
