Right, before i start! I know this has been covered hundreds of times but people seem to be a bit vague about details etc and i need to know before i spend money and time waiting.......

Im getting a copy yoshimura exhaust off ebay (yes following the trend) and i was wondering if there is anything majorly mechanical you need to do? Ive seen people say you need to change the jetting, others say you dont. Some people say you have to cut, gring, weld etc, some say you just unclip and slip the new one on!

There is so much uncertainty and i cant afford the £35 and then 3 weeks wait for delivery to get it and be unable to fit it!
As i said, sorry that there is another post about these but there is too much vague details :(

If anyone reads this and wants one too: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=290701028748

    Cheers

yes mate i have done the yoshimura copy also i just unbolted the old one and slipped this one on, you may need to use a bit of force to get it on i had to. all you do is push harder haha. I havnt changed my jets or anything and havnt had to grind or weld so if you want one all you have to do is take the old one off easy and push this on on simples :)

It's v noisy but I love it. It back fires every now and again. Runs much better rather than the old can.

I think it would be easy to solve the problem of frequent back firing by filling can with steel wool or with mix of steel and stone wool.

its more to do with how lean or rich the bike runs that causes back fireing

More, but not completely. As far as I could see, every free flow muffler backfire when suddenly decrease gas.

Basically, it all comes down to whether you like on not that sound.
