hi guys, as you may have seen ive been pestering about the kit,

i finally ordered one off ebay and with the help of my mate (who happens to be a very good part time bike mechanic) we fitted the kit today,
the first thing i did was to paint the barrel black so that it didnt stand out so much when it was fitted.

it only really took around 2 hours to go from rolling the bike in to rolling it back out again, everything went smoothly and there were no problems.

i rode the bike home afterwards, i cant abuse it yet as it needs to run/bed in again but initial feelings are very good, there is much more torque than i was expecting,

here are a couple of pictures from the build and a short video i took of it running, apologies for the sound quality, i do not have a proper camera only iphone4.

a couple of things i forgot to mention, i changed the pilot jet to 17.5 and the main jet to 115.

also about a week after the kit arrived, fedex sent me a bill for £15, aparently import duty and administration charges, cheeky fuckers (pardon my french)!

I'm ordering mine soon, I can't wait to fit it :3

You should grind off the 147cc mark if you aren't going to declare this to your insurer and/or you are still on a CBT as I'm pretty sure that this invalidates your tax and insurance otherwise. I was looking into breaking in procedures today and a lot of sources say that you should push it a little bit and bring the revs up quite high as the piston rings will seat better.

Where did you get the pilot jet from?
Sinnis Max II (QM125-2V), K157FMI engine (technically a K162FMJ now), 115 main jet, 40 pilot jet, cone air filter, 150cc big bore kit, 17 tooth front sprocket, 30mm carburettor, alarm with remote start, HID spotlights, performance CDI.

Jet came from eBay, if I can find the link I'll post it here,

I did think about ditching the markings, may still do if I decide I like the performance

should be a minimum of 500 miles to run it in properly excessive revs during this stage with cause it have a increased friction that will make the cylinder wall more scored than if it was looked after during the 500 miles a engine that isnt run in might be 1-2mph quicker but then its life is signifcantly reduced some say up to 10,000miles less in a car engine by not running it in carefully

I've always broken stuff in gently, the original piston had hardly any marks at all on it, and the cylinder bore was unmarked, 700km of very gentle varied engine speeds, then 4000km of quite hard use, plenty of full throttle and 9000rpm and more!

Ah that makes more sence actually I'd rather an engine to last longer I suppose.

Sorry to bring this back up again ,I've now got my 150cc big bore kit and planning on installing it this weekend if I have time and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this sai hole that you need to fill wondering where abouts it's located ? and will epoxy weld itself be enough to fill it ? I have included a pic of my own kit image.jpg is the hole you need to fill the one on near the top left hand side 2nd one down?
