09-16-2011, 03:48 PMThanks for the welcome. Unfortunitely, I promised the factory not to disclose any details for fear that people will not buy the 2nd generation SUV. The 2nd generation SUV is a much improved bike over the 1st generation and is a very nice bike to have. It's very similar to CrazyCarl's Rock X-bike and then some, but you have to do the 4 wheels/2sets setup yourself, which I was doing to a Shineray250 thanks to CrazyCarl's idea. I have to change to 18/18, matching the Chinese cruisers in order to get al rims.
Yes, I took some pictures of the SUV yesterday but I cannot post them. I can PM you if you want the details.
No, Panyu is not bike free yet. I have a 10 years old Chinese 125cc bike with Panyu plates that I ride to town all the times. It was one of the last ones to have Panyu plates issued.
I plan to have a JaingMun license for the new SUV. Juice at Galaxy has promised to help with the plate. I can pretty much ride anywhere in Southern China but SieChiu and other bike free cities (I don't want to have any to do with them anyways), or ready to pay the Y200 fine if and when get caught. The traffic cops all stays at several places in town and I just have to avoid those places.

10-12-2011, 06:11 PMHey CC, greetings.
I came across this last week on a Chinese thread.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10364858@N00/6238416092/" title="RockX 001 by dy245000, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6100/...91867a06_b.jpg" width="800" height="600" alt="RockX 001"></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/10364858@N00/6238416092/" title="RockX 001 by dy245000, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6100/...91867a06_b.jpg" width="800" height="600" alt="RockX 001"></a>
Isn't that a modified RockX bike?
They labelled it as a 2008 export bike from QingQi, one of a kind, and just sold it for RMB10,000+.
So QingQi tried to sell the bike overseas. Interesting.

10-12-2011, 09:47 PMIt's very easy to get a Flickr picture to display in MCM. In Flickr, choose a size. I've selected medium 640 for the picture from your collection that I've posted. Once Flickr is displaying the picture in the size you want, you want to left click on the picture, and copy its URL. Then go to the post you are editing in MCM, click on the "insert image" icon that is always present, and paste the URL into the dialogue box. (That wraps the URL in IMG triggers.) When you post, MCM will fetch the image from Flickr and display it in your post.

That's not "The Rock" it's the the street version QM250 "Cafe". I think this is what "The Rock" ended up being, but it, along with so many other vaporware bikes from Qing Qi, is not available. Notice the forks and frame are very different.
Cheers!

10-13-2011, 03:48 AMThanks again, Euphonius. I'll give that a try. I copied the instruction and saved it.
ChinaV, I would love to have one of those if they use the counter-balance shaft engine.
