QM250GY-2D The bike has been showing up in advertisements and trade shows for almost a year. I tried to purchase, but it took almost three weeks to get the truth from QingQi...it's a one off mock up that you can't actually buy. QingQi claims it will be ready sometime in 2011, but I wouldn't hold your breath. They were a year overdue on the Liger model, and I expect the same with this bike. Most likely will not be available in China either, as QingQi more or less ignores the domestic market with their 250 series.

Ekkicore wanted the same Qingqi you're after, but got no answer as to when it might be available.

Ekki is after the QM250GY-B(ASD), which is available to export markets. You can also buy one in China, but rather complicated.

It's unfortunate QingQi moves so slowly, they make some nice stuff and their state-owned enterprise attitude towards marketing and customer service belittles the quality and innovation of their products.

Was also kind of hoping for this bike, but I guess I'll save some more money and try to get a JH600! Not going to wait for ever of course, want to have a bike by the end of March.

I like my '08 Qlink XF 200 but the "Rock" would be a definite improvement for the reasons being discussed. After riding the Qlink for a year, I got a
'96 Suzuki 350SE for more power; all it needs is a comfortable seat and an easy on/off windshield for the highway!

Good looking bike, with a few tweeks it can be better


1, a wind dissplacement shield above the headlight.
2, a full front mud guard, for less splash on the engine and your feet.
3, the exhaust at the rear a little higher and made of stainless steel.
4, disk brakes at the rear , for easy change of pads rather than take the real wheel off to replace the drum shoes.
5, handlebar protection for you knuckles.
6, rear and side luggage support,
7, balanced centre stand.
8, full LCD display with fault check
9, HID headlight, with a seperate day running light, (god knows they never see you coming) or bright blue LEDs like i fitted on my ZS150 cyclone.
10, soft grips for that long travel, where you tend to lean more onto the handlbars.

so far thats all i could think of, price for all that , i would expect to pay 16.000 to 17,000 rmb, of course it has to be better quality than most.

Other manufacturers have catched up. I was at Galaxy factory yesterday (I'm 20 min
away). I saw a wide seat 250 bike with balanced shaft. Just wait in line, I have my name on the first bike off the line, 3rd generation SUV.

Wow! That's what I call an awesome first post! Welcome to the forum, DY245000, and we will (impatiently) await details of this new dual sport. Big question will be what, if anything, Galaxy has used to make its fuel system meet C3 emissions restrictions. Does it have electronic fuel injection or a carb? If a carb, how do they achieve the low emissions? (I'm not expert in this, but everything we read seems to indicate that EFI burns cleaner, regardless of the impact on performance.)

Did you take pictures during your visit yesterday?

And isn't Panyu a bike-free city? What's your plan for registration and plating?
