Probably not Chinses assembled most probable built in Belarus but the engine from my opinion is most definitely Chinses built looking identical to that used in the newer Megelli 250M LC

CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Vehicles being shipped in parts. One vehicle is knocked down in many small parts and these parts are shipped in containers.

CBU (Completely Built Unit) Vehicles being shipped in fully built form.

Many markets have discounted import fees for a CKD and conversely many have high importation fees on a CBU.

An additional advantage of a CKD is that they also require good tracking systems for the parts, it forces the assembly facility to manage parts inventory. It also offers control over assembly, control as in quality control. It can be better or worse, depending on the initial quality of the part and also the management of the assembly.

John Deere manufactures tractors in the USA, it builds the entire unit and tests it, then disassembles it and packs it into rolling containers, then ships them in parts to a facility in Russia to be reassembled and tested again.

That bike and the others are being sourced in parts from various manufactures, they do that to avoid the high tariff rates for a CBU. They are all models that are already being assembled in china and sold into other markets.

I personally like the 200cc OHC standard they offer.

I like the piston housing blacked out and the fork sleeves and the headlight, its a real nice looking small bike.

BTW, this is thread dedicated to the one of the MMVZ's models. We're losing focus.

I believe the Megelli uses the Loncin liquid-cooled unit

The best bike as for a vintage look, is the Kawasaki Estrella
