So i bought Andres x2 and had it shipped to yangzhou.
It turned up in the traditional box and here is the traditional picture of said box

It came with motard wheels 3" and 4.25" as well as the 18/21 dirt wheels
i wont bore you with pictures of it being put together, just skip to the good part

I had read a bit about these engines and they are supposed to be quite quick
Frankly i thought it was a bit of a dog, it seemed rich and flat for the first day
And drank gas like it was going out of style
turns out they do that if you have the choke half on ..........

Having mastered the choke operation i was really happy with the way it ran
This engine is a gem, quick revving , smooth as a smooth thing and has a nice little 250 size hit at the top
I geared it up with a 42 rear sprocket, checked the oil and water , threw my bags on it and hit the road

Wound up in the concrete jungle a few days later
Went to the race meeting at Tianma
    Slept in a park
    Fried the new battery
Replaced the rectifier and the battery
Got stopped at 3 police checkpoints
    Had a ball

Congratulations on your new steed. Good choice. I’d have bought it if not because I couldn’t register a second-hand bike in Shanghai.
Instead I got myself a new x2x, also with motard wheels. Still waiting for my plate to come in.

For some reason, it bobs its head up and down when slowing down. It got a bit better after letting out some air in the front tire but still does it noticeably. Wondering if it is more stable with dirt wheels. The engine is very loud. Need to figure out a way to quiet it down.

With a 42 rear sprocket don't your lose quite a bit of torque? Did you have problem with the stock 46 sprocket?

My JH600 is so much more comfortable by comparison. Well, they are made for different purposes after all.

So all the cool kids are getting the X2X now? Well done to you both!

What reputation do these have amongst chinese riders? I know very little about them and have only seen a couple on the wild.

Hey Milton, is that a set of those Cree lights from the supplementary lights thread you have on your handlebars? Any thoughts?

Barry asked this too, Milton couldn't comment as the bike wasn't plated yet....(that was for you Barry!)

Well my question is about the gyroscopic stabilizer. Seems all the cool kids are getting these too!

@ Milton, I've also been waiting to finally hear any comment about those lights!

Furthermore, I'm also about to order a new X2X. Hopefully by the end of next week I've got the order placed! Does anyone happen to know if the price of the X2X just went up, they are asking 18.500 RMB for the enduro version in Baoding! I'm guessing the price can still be negotiated?

Milton that's a good looking bike
bobbing at the front could be a tyre not seated or wheel out of round
Also maybe controlled by more rebound damping

If you pass by (if you still remember), I will have a look at the front.

Felix: x2x is getting popular amongst Chinese riders. Mine was shipped in along with 5 others, after waiting for it over a month. It is relatively more money than other China made dual sports. I have not heard much bad words about it. The dealer from whom I got the bike from also carries Galaxy but quite obviously is steering people away from it.

Barry: I paid 17800 rmb for my motard version with some cheap freebies thrown in by the dealer. The dirt version is marked 1000 less.

Felix and Barry: I don’t believe those lights are CREE. I got it from the same shop that I got my bike from. However, since my bike isn’t plated yet, I have only done limited inner-city rides. I am not able to tell how effective it is in other situations. The Taobao page:
    http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=13981936820

Motokai: Pleased that you liked my gyroscopic stabilizer. Easy installation, glued right underneath the seat.

Zhu: Can you comment on why you opted for 42 rear sprocket?

No, 75 is not age related. It is yearly mileage related. For F1 track or Tianma rider, it would mark as "0.1".
I hope I can bob along and find you again so you can take a look of the front. Much appreciated.

    Cheers!

Re the gearing, i just felt it was a bit revvy with the 46
As it turns out it wont actually pull the 42 unless you adopt the "flat on the tank, one had behind your back " position
So i guess a 44 will probably be just right

Re the noisE. yeah it way to loud to ride all day
Sounds like there is nothing in the can but air so i will be tearing into that asap

otherwise its a cool thing to ride, able to ride over anything up to and including a volkswagen
pretty good brakes and real nice steering

but the seat, its a real butt flosser
