Holiday season is rolling around and people may start looking for moto-stocking-stuffers and the such while some of us or our loved ones hole up for the winter.

I thought I might put in a good word for a moto-documentary produced by who may be considered the most devoted person in the world to making motorcycle based documentaries - Gaurav Jani.

Riding Solo to the Top of the World
by Gaurav Jani is an amazing film capturing the rugged land and lifestyle of the Changpas, a small group of Tibetan nomadic herders living in the disputed upper reaches of the Tibetan plateau.

Riding solo, he managed to capture all of the footage himself, returning to Mumbai (Bombay) to assemble the film. The film has won several awards for best documentary, so many in fact that there are too many to list here!

On a personal note, Gaurav was a great help to me when making "The Return" and largely made it possible for me to have the sound track done in India by a fellow motorcyclist and formidable sound designer, Dwarak Warrier. These dudes are staight shootin', get it done types of fellows who work hard to be excellent at what they do.

Just goes to show... motorcyclists around the world rock!
