I know the Superbyke SBS 125 takes 10W40 oil. But have a little question.

What oil do I use? Fully synthetic or semi synthetic?

Does it matter if the wrong oil gets put in the engine? I really don't have a clue which to use.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bailey

Doesn't matter -- JASO MA "bike oil" is more important, clutch slip may happen if it's NOT "JASO MA".
Many workhorse bike that archieves high mileage in China don't listen to that marketing hoax - Uses oil that intend for diesel engine (more ZDDP than regular car oil which is like the bike oil) ONLY.

So if I go ahead an put semi synthetic oil in the engine it won't cause a problem if the current oil is fully synthetic?

I'm just worried that I'll put oil in the engine and it being the wrong type.

As long as it's 10W40 BIKE OIL it doesn't matter if it's fully synthetic or semi synthetic. Is that what you're saying?

Sorry to be a pain, completely new biker here.

Motor oils have been the subject of heated discussions on any motorcycle and car forums.

I see that your bike has a CG-based motor. Therefore, I am convinced that any oil that you're pouring it will not be wrong. If you would ask me, I would say that you avoid the only car oils with anti-slip additives because of which the clutch could slip. Also, I would not be surprised if it turned out that for your motorcycle, in your climate, it is better, for example, even some mineral Comma truck oil.
Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...
