I wouldn't go quite that far! Maybe while riding off road or playing the American brand of "football" (is that a misnomer or what?!) pads and a helmet are a pretty good idea. While I won't pretend to speak for Carl, most of us can name at least two or three things we don't need pads and a helmet for..

Yeah no joke. Could you imagine someone walking into a Hell's Angels or Pagan's Chapter meeting and saying: "Hey typical Americans... Where's your helmets and padding?"

Just don't step into a hole while you're sprinting out the door!

If I did walk into a hell's angels meeting, being bikies, they probably would have helmets and padding!

Well, I am back on my feet now so I went to look at the bike last night and go for a ride. First thing I did was check the choke cable. I found that it was really sticky, and I think I had only been pulling it out about a quarter of the way. So with a little WD-40 it came right out.

From then on, starting was no problem

A very easy and simple fix, but I appreciate the advice from everyone though.

That's good news! Sure you don't just want to take your carb apart anyway?

Yeah, given what I have read about the great C-moto, I think there will be plenty of time for that in due course.

Right now I am too busy enjoying the bike. I took her out for a twilight run around the city last night. I was very happy with how it went. A nice cruise around the harbour. I am doing my best to follow forchetto's running-in advice and it seems to be going well so far.

The only thing is the headlight, it is was not fantastic, but I will get around to changing that soon enough. Right now I am just looking forward to finishing work and heading out again.
