    Hi Carl et al.

    Good job.

I don't actually own my China bike anymore, but I used it to tour Colombia. It's still there for me to "borrow" whenever I want to.
Not even sure if it's strictly a China bike. It's a UM (United Motors) DSF200. I read somewhere that they're made in Korea. But the tires, carb and other bits have Chinese on them. So who knows...

Anyways, here's a photo of us and the beast set to go on the ride.

And a photo of the unladen version:

Back here in Canada I ride a Honda XR250.

    Take Care!

    Cal-rider...

Thanks for pitching in! I'm sure lots of people here would love to hear about your ride. United Motors imports from everywhere but it looks like most of their bikes are Korean. The dirt bikes though may very well be Chinese manufactured.

Heck, for that matter I wouldn't be surprised if your Honda was made in China. The Yamaha XT250 looks like it's made in China and I know the DR200 is.

You thinking of getting a C-Moto?

I have seen a UM DSF 200 and DTF 200 in person, and both are Skyteam of China manufactured. The dealer insisted they are Korean-made (Hyosung), and it is obvious that their street bikes are, but the manuf. plate clearly reads Skyteam of China on the dirt bikes they had on the floor. In fact, I contacted Skyteam, and UM is their exclusive distributor in the US (not sure about other NA or SA countries), so one cannot buy a Skyteam branded bike in the US, and they are Chinese made.

Yes, I'm thinking of getting a 200cc lifan dual sport as a buddy/girlfriend bike. I'm fairly sure I can plate it here since I plated my XR250R dirtbike once I got lights and mirrors on it.
But, then again, I've seen a couple of cool xr250-looking chinese bikes on the web. Hmmm. Would have to order direct from China...
