ZMC888, well yeah, the local CFMoto dealership guys would probably do the same. My mechanic though won't. Unfortunately, the mechanic I have been working with for the last 5 years or so doesn't have equipment to diagnose my ECU (or any other ECU for that matter).
What I am doing tomorrow is:
    1. Go to CFMoto dealership and ask them if they have diagnostic equipment that would work with my bike.

    2. If yes, read errors from my old ECU and see what the matter is (15 short flashes). Reset old ECU and see if the error message repeats.

    3. If the old ECU work fine, keep it. If not, use the new ECU and reset the TPS so that it works with the new ECU.

    4. If they have no equipment (which is the most likely outcome), screw it - the bike works more or less OK with the flashing warning light. Sell it to some Chinese dude ASAP telling him that this is the "luck light" (hence red color) or something.

Right. So today I rode to my dealer.
Good thing: they have the equipment required for ECU read and diagnosis and for TPS reset and calibration. Ten points to Griffindor.
Better thing: they performed a warning reset on my bike' sold ECU, and it's throwing errors no more. Interesting: I collected at least 4 methods of ECU reset using throttle, ignition and even light switch. Well, guess what, the mechanic reset in in a different way that goes as follows:
    1. Ignition key off, engine killswitch on.
    2. WOT
    3. Ignition key on, hold throttle.
    4. AS SOON AS the red warning light turns on, let go of the throttle.
    5. Ignition key off.
On the negative side: it turns out the body of my TPS is cracked (for reason unknown) and, though it works fine for now, it will definitely require replacement in the future. I will post pics of it later.

Yes. They reset my old ECU. And, since it is mapped properly and works fine now, I didn't have to map the new ECU I got to the TPS.
I got 2 ECUs now: the old one that works as it should, and the new one that I purchased as a replacement to the old one (this one was high idle and delayed throttle response). The old ECU is on the bike, the new ECU is kept at home just in case.

Sure! I got a bike that runs properly and I know that if anything, the dealer will be there will all equipment required. For now, I have been satisfied with CFMoto's customer service. Hope they keep up the good work!

So, 2 days ago I started my bike, warmed it up, and was ready to take off for work when it turned out that both throttle cables snapped.
later that evening I disassembled the right handlebar switch and removed the remains of the cables. Here they are:

    Torn cables.jpg

A search on an official TMaill CFMoto page returned no results for throttle cables, so I got them from here:

    http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=..._u=9k0i86r27ca

They sent the throttles the next day, but 圆通快递 delivery service that they use has never been known for its reliability. After 2 days' wait I had to go to their local office to claim my package.
The throttle cables were installed pretty quick and fit well. A problem relatively easy to solve, but a very annoying one. Word to all CFMoto 650 NK riders out there - get yourselves replacement cables, just in case.

Got me a set of hand guards from here:

    http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=..._u=9k0i86rccdb

They aren't reinforced and will not save the clutch / brake levers in case of a crash. I got them just to protect my hands from rain when riding. Remember having similar ones on my YaXiang bike (which I hope is burning in motorbike hell at this very moment) and enjoying them.
The installation was pretty simple, except for since I have an aftermarket handlebar installed, I needed to fabricate the inside-bar retainers of smaller diameter to fit.

    So far so good.

prince666, yeah those are the reinforced ones and they do look great! I guess they are much more useful than mine ones :) Do you happen to have a taobao link for those? Is it "Racing boy" brand???
