The releases details state that the YB125SP was designed specially for the Chinese market….but its selling in Japan? However none of the 125cc models are listed on the Yamaha Japanese website?
SR400
Anyhow…the little YB125SP looks a little like the SR400 and it would not take much imagination too see the potential in a YB250SP since the YBR250 is already available in China, still cannot figure out why they have not began production of an entire 250 line in China?
Serrow
Tricker
Its pretty obvious that the Chinese domestic market is price conscious, fuel consumption and price must be what is preventing Jianshe Yamaha from offering the complete 250 line in china. That is a shame because the Tricker and Serrow seem like a logical next step... if they could get the retail prices down, they might be able if the models were mass produced. But to price conscious consumers the 250 is a luxury and consumes too much fuel.Last edited by MJH; 08-27-2013 at 12:59 PM.

I had a strange Yamaha experience last week. I tried to order another, new YBR250 and was told that the factory has stopped shipping them within China, but is still exporting them (don't know where). Not a big deal, because I had just taken delivery of a Suzuki GW250, and it seems to be a superior bike (and less expensive). Might switch all my YBRs over to GWs.

You should post a thread on your GW250, I was considering getting one in London and keeping it at my families farm in Ireland. If I do I will ride it there and keep it for use on holiday.

I'd like to see a review of the GW250 as well.

Jianshe Yamaha must be going after the Honda sales with this model, their target is 100,000 units a year.. The suggested retail for these is 6,680.00 that is not expensive.
Here are some versions of the YB125SP from Japan...

Yamaha has released two new models, obviously in response to the multiple offers from Honda over the last two years. Yamaha went in a different direction to Honda with their practical and typical utilitarian designs. New for 2013 and 2014 are the XV950 (Bolt) and MT-09 (FZ-09)(USA), these are aggressive looking and the FZ-09 has a new triple.
Both are being retailed in the USA for $7,990.00.
