the sat nav is a garmin nevi. has a video camera mount on the accelerator cable under the speedo and above the headlight. it runs off the battery via a 12v adapter. it has time/date/speed/location stamp on the video incase of accident.i have a separate post all about it which you could read.
however i am still having major problems with the battery. keeps discharging, even before any mods were made. and the camera wears the battery down too fast.
the dealer / factory changed most the main electrical comp. alt/mag/icu/fues/ignition/battery etc and the ignition and fuel gauge broke on its own. so lots issues with it. so at the moment i have a large displacement 'E' bike.

one thing i did do that made a difference, both cosmetic and practical. was to remove the 'cat' from the exhaust, simply undo the bolts and remove and re-attach the exhaust.same flange. then cut the under plate in half and off with a grinder and weld it to the new location. then you can reattach for inspection. it cost me 150 yuan to have it done, including grinding down all the crappy welds on the down tube and fitting gasket paste and spraying silver paint over the weld n grinds (haha). now it breaths better and looks better. plus you dont catch your bloody foot on the flange.

**BUT i noticed that the down tubes on the daytona has a second, smaller inner tube that is cut so the oxy sensor can fit in. this MUST mess up the air flow and restrict it. **

when i asked the factory they said it was to 'cool down the down pipe as it got to hot near the front/ fan'
i cannot but wonder if you had a normal size tube with some heat / wrap around it it would make the bike breath a lot better....

also does anyone have a part number for a K & N air filter cone replacement. i have used them in the past and they really do work. if no one does and is interested , i will do it myself when i get back from my iPhone 5 bring and sell trip to uk lol.

Paul, very impressive work. Where did you get your HID lights from? I wouldn't mind having a brighter light.

I ride a different Regal Raptor (DD250G) but the light housing looks about the same.

hi shiggins, thanks for the comment. like you i just want to be seen n heard. the lights work well and the horns ..stop.. traffic... hahaha.
the lights were from the Peugeot/honda dealer my yang 508 yu yao lu. tel 13901811185. cost 220/250 yuan fitted. twin bosch horns. 150 yuan ish.
1 other option is to replace the whole unit with a big bright centre unit and 'angel ring' lights around the outer. same 5" bottom bracket fitment.. just a thought. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=13678452263&

DONT FORGET if you convert to
    1. led indicators. you loose the '3 sec on off' option. only on . cancel. off
    2. hid bulb. you loose the 'flash' option. so only dip or main beam.
    3. twin bosh. you will go deaf.

just incase you do any of the above. i always flash drivers or used the auto indicator function. so it can be a hassle. the flash option can be replaced with a well aimed/timed middle finger haha

Thanks for the info. I may try to go to the Peugeot/honda dealer tmrw. My high beam keeps burning out and I really needed it driving through the mountains to Anji the other day. HID may be a good solution. The flash option would be nice but maybe there's no way around that. With HID, do you have high-beams for when no cars are in front of you?
