10-01-2012, 12:13 PMMy current Zongshen looks like a cafe racer (fairings), and I love it. However, because I will soon have to use it both in the city and on older and dirt roads, I would like to make some mods that will help it to adjust. I am thinking a knobby rear tire, an engine guard (not sure the name, but it is a plate that goes on the lower front frame), maybe a grill across the headlamp. But if anyone could guide me into what mods to make, I would be grateful! Thanks!

If someone made this of his R1, I have no doubts that you will be able to do something with your Zong.

Well, it is racer. I'll give you that.
But it is a cabbage-racer, not cafe-racer.
What volume of modifications did you have in mind?Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...

The first thing that comes to mind is to buy a pair of longer shocks, but not too long, to avoid contact chain with the swingarm. True, the trail will be reduced, but what to do...
The second thing I would do is to fit the cylindrical insert in each fork tube, above the springs, in order to stiff front suspension.
I have a few suggestions, but they require extensive modifications, plus I would have to describe it to you in English, which is not an easy job for me.Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...
