10-04-2012, 09:08 PMI noticed the other day that my engine idles slightly faster with the head light off so I am geussing that with the lights off the ignition system can get more power and produce a more powerful spark so I was wondering would a more powerful ignition coil increase performance and/or give me better milage at all? For example could I just switch my current coil with an ignition coil from an old vaxhaul corsa? Would there be any risk of damaging my engine at all?
Sinnis Max II (QM125-2V), K157FMI engine (technically a K162FMJ now), 115 main jet, 40 pilot jet, cone air filter, 150cc big bore kit, 17 tooth front sprocket, 30mm carburettor, alarm with remote start, HID spotlights, performance CDI.

10-08-2012, 01:03 PMI learned this on a Royal Enfield: changing out the coil to a more powerful one CAN and WILL affect the entire ignition system. You will have to upgrade other components too!
