Yeah they announced this bike back in 2010, then did a big launch in 2011, but until now they're still not in the shops. Probably won't be either, i can't see why anyone would buy it.

Underpowered, overweight, out of date and overpriced. Add to that they can't export it since they're stealing BMW's engine, i don't see this bike being their big break.

    Bit more discussion here:

BMW has launched two 2013 models under the Husqvarna brand that will utilize the GS650 engine.
Terra and Strada, both are 2013 models and will be offered in the USA for $7,000.00-$7,500.00 about a thousand under the prices of a new GS650 BMW models.

I'd consider it if it were cheaper than the CF and Benelli, but not for more.

BMW apparently tinkered with that engine for 2013…I personally think that the Loncin bike is over dressed.
I would like to see the engine in this form, set up for street use of course, the MOAB still is a concept.

Was told the Loncin 650 (with the BMW engine) will be at the local dealer in 2 weeks (around April 7th). He promised to call me when it arrives and I can come down and take one for a test ride. Naked bikes just aren't my cup of tea, though. If I recall correctly, I think he said 46K, but I wasn't paying much attention because I was admiring other new bikes he had in stock.

won't be seeing the engine used in Husqvarna's anymore after being sold off to KTM with no engine supply deal in place.

Did a tiny test ride of it today - underpowered is correct. Also, overall, the bike was quite underwhelming. Nevertheless, I suppose it is some form of progress.

We use a Learner approved motorcycle scheme system here in New Zealand And Australia do too,
Basically novice riders can ride certain bikes that are sub 650cc, learners cant exceed 250cc at the moment the big sellers are Hyosung and their 650 bike which is approved,

So long as Loncin put a good price label on this bike it could very well become a good seller in either of these two countries, Direct competition to Hyosung I should think.
