11-12-2012, 10:53 AMTP China (Shanghai) by Harley Wang (Beijing) is operational now and they have parts, tools and bikes in the shop (hard to take pics through a shop front window)........
The Shanghai shop is located at 505 Huaxiang Road / Minhang District (just a few blocks from Joy Motor Motorcycles).
Seems they are featuring and distributing the same parts and bikes as in the Beijing shop like Zero Custom Choppers Japan, Confederate Bikes USA, Supertrapp, Vance & Hines, S&S, etc...etc...

11-25-2012, 08:59 AMHoly shit, batman! I remember somebody posting pix of a Confederate or two in Beijing more than a year ago, but heard nothing since. These are for the guy (or gal) who already has a Lamborghini, a Maserati, a Ferrari, a Gold Wing, a Hayabusa, every model of Harley, a Hummer and concubines in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Lhasa and Urumqi.
How did you know which end is the front?

11-25-2012, 12:35 PMCoincidentally enough, I was there yesterday as well. I spoke for a while with the owner "Harry", who was friendly enough while I pretended to be a rich foreigner (dude was very disrespectful when he found out my real job ). I couldn't find either of those bikes on the Confederate web site later. The main bike that TB posted is apparently from 2006 and very beautiful. I'd love to hear the engine but I don't think it's been gassed up for quite a while. To be honest, I found Harry's choice to run porn movies on the TV in the shop to be in extremely poor taste but hey, that's just my opinion. I guess he's not thinking that many women (or children) are going to come strolling through his shop on a Saturday afternoon. I definitely recommend going by the shop as an attraction. A LOT different from anything you might find at home, whether it's a hard core chopper shop or a strip mall style setup.

11-25-2012, 01:28 PMThey had the Carbon Confederate bike running today sitting on the bike lift as they had a prospective buyer in the shop in the morning, true or false, don't know.
Nothing wrong with the shop and have seen similar set-ups in North America, Europ, Asia - Pacific......
TP-China has a few Confederate bikes sitting in the Beijing dealership / workshop out in Shunyi (near Beijing Capitol Airport) and the Shanghai shop has a 500+sqm. basement as well with parts and bikes......
They are selling Zero Engineering Japan choppers as well: http://zero-eng.com / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinya_Kimura

11-26-2012, 06:04 AMI guess we missed out seeing/hearing the engine on the carbon bike. Too bad as we would have enjoyed that.
Not saying there was anything wrong with the shop. I believe you might have had a different experience than us with the street drag racing and the motorcycle club getting their bikes fixed. We had to dodge mechanics and leather clad "charter members" as we were checking out the Confederate bikes. And you must admit, you don't see Confederate bikes every day. All together I think we found Huaxiang Lu to be more entertaining than any NA motorcycle shop I've ever seen. If they have better in Japan and Europe I'd love to check them out too.

A friend took me to shop in Kyoto that was mind-boggling - two stories spread across a city block - and customers were encouraged to touch & play - it was like a giant IKEA ballroom, for adults.
They also have those "individualistic" characters in Japan, with a Japanese twist (or "poof"???) ...
I heard a Confederate fire up at the Beijing shop - I guess it was "enjoyable" (albeit somewhat deafening), and it reminded me of this "academic research" ...
