Thomas wants to buy me a new bike. my dream would be a 650 or 800 BMW GS. we want to be legal. we have 2 posibilities:
    GF Moto 600 NK
    Jialing Jh 600 A
what has the better technic? Reliability, Comfort, etc. I am mostly interedted in riding ecperiences and not in price differences

The two are different focus. The JH600 is a pretty good dual sport specification which means lots of suspension travel and pretty tall. The CF Moto 600 NK has less suspension travel, lower seating position, and more of a road bike.

I have had the JH600 Euro model since 2010 (no real stalling issues yet) It is OK for a Chinese bike for reliability. The good thing about them is the military uses them so anywhere you go there is usually someone that can help work on it. (as long as it is not design issue like the ECU stalling) The biggest issue I had was a clogged tank fuel filter.

I would go sit on both bikes and get the one that is most comfortable for you. You will be happy either way I suspect.

I'd also wait until next year when CFMoto will have the dual sport version of the CF650 utilising the same engine found in the 650NK and 650TR. It does depend though on what kind of bike you prefer to ride? The 650NK is a road bike and a naked one at that which means you will be exposed to all the air, grime and dirt etc that comes your way on any riding. OK, when the air is clean and fresh or when one is not planning on riding for 10 hours in the saddle as I often like to do. The suspension is shorter so there are limitations in that regard too... a dual sport is more ideal for riding what are the majority of Chinese roads and tracks away from the cities etc. What TexasAggie suggests is ideal, go sit on the bikes you consider first off, and look them over carefully... the JH600 has a centerstand while the 650NK doesn't. They are different bikes with different objective briefs in mind... but just hang in there a while before making any decision, I'm sure the 650 dual purpose from CFMoto won't be too far away.

Yes, it is well known Xingyue 400, this time, his "beaked" version with 17" wheels. What I picked up on various motorcycle forums, is that the upper engine is "borrowed" from Rotax ATV engines, and the lower engine, allegedly, from some Honda's thumper. Frame, as people say, strongly reminds frame of the Honda XR.

According to the Xingyue owners, ride is comfortable, engine pulls smoothly from idle to ~5k rpm (from 5k to 7k nothing happens), although his power is not like what was expected from a 400 cc thumper.

I have read 100+ pages thread on a Russian moto-forum about the Xingyue 400 - http://kluchers.ru/viewtopic.php?p=23048 . The problems, as can be expected, exist - bad radiators, footpegs, electric starters, oil leaks in the area of the water pump, cracked frames, crushed starter clutches, stubborn carbs, brittle plastic panels, "farting" ('scuse my french) mufflers... Also, I've noticed tendency that they are getting better and better with each new batch.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to lay my buttock on this version of a Xingyue 400.

My impression is that the seating position is classic enduro position - you're sitting on the top of the bike, not in the bike, behind tank, so you're practically without any protection from the wind. Plastic panels were not ideally fitted, and many details looks like trey are borrowed from a cheap 50 cc scooter.

Maybe it's a good idea to get more info from the "Mikefox", guy on this board who works in a company that sells these bikes in the Ukraine - http://alfamoto.ua/index.php?option=...d=293&Itemid=1

Yes, the CFMoto dual purpose 650 should be an interesting bike and a worthy consideration. Unfortunately there are no details or specs available as yet. Just have to exercise some patience I am afraid.

As for the Xingyue 400, well photoshop is China's best friend, can't say the same about QA/QC though... IMO it is not a worthy proposition by any stretch of my imagination... if it was a worthy contender many of us here would be all over it by now. In a nutshell it is not even worth my time to even think about it. YMMV

Not legal in China and the one I rode in 2010 was a horrible piece of bashed together garbage. Every component was an exercise in how to make something cheap. Not to say they might have improved a bit, but I don't think you will be happy at all.

Curious about what you don't like about the new Suzuki GW250? What about that used BMW F800GS that Ryan Pyle is selling. Wasn't that bike donated by BMW? I would think he's selling it for a good price?

    Good luck!

    Cheers!
