I'm guessing that's a re-badged Qingqi, like so many others. And I'm guessing that Venom Motors bit the dust a few years ago, like so many others.

But it looks like a fun bike, and if it is a Qingqi it should not be difficult at all to get parts. Or a Lifan? Or are Lifan and Qingqi the same? Where's MJH when you need him??

Tell us more about the bike, and about yourself. New acquisition? Know anything about the previous owner? How's she running? Any specific problems?

    cheers!

I traded a Yamaha rt 100 2 stroker for it. It's my only chinese bike. I have an rm 125 that I love and a Honda trxfw 300 atv. I was looking to trade for a 4 stroke and I found this on Craigslist. It's missing the lights and battery box. I would like to get the ignition going. It takes for ever to kick and it has mad compression! Needs a kickstand and the kick starter won't stay folded. But other than that once it's started it runs fine. Just need to find parts and tinker a bit. Thanks for the reply!

If you can supply a VIN or an engine number, I'm quite certain someone in this forum can scare up a usable manual, which should lead to a source of parts. I saw in your parallel thread that you may have a partial engine number, suggesting a Zongshen engine? These Venoms seem to have been marketed back in the mid-2000s, so they'll have to have done their import paperwork -- including registration of the engine and frame.

I hope other members can identify the maker and model from the bike's general appearance.

    cheers!

Right, also badged as a Lifan LF200GY. This would be your 169FML engine, right?

Removed plastics, seat, airbox and carb. It takes lots of kicking to start, I figured I would start with carbureation. I does have a lot of compression.
