This is probably a result of their MX team riding Hondas.

Possibly. According to the factory they're going to try and get away from user other company's products and using their own in house developed technology.

If the X2 is a sign of things to come from Shineray I say bring it on! It does look like a really great bike. Although I haven't riden one yet. I did have a video of one on the test track before. I'll have a look and see if I can track it down.

I want the engine in my current bike, but I don't think it'll happen. I want the company to use this engine to build something along the lines of the old AX-1 or slap two of um side by side and make a killer 500
