    That's exactly what I'm wondering.
What's a good price for this bikes, better, what's not a good price?
Taobao can be very deceiving, when you find so many different shops selling the same bike at different prices, and without any sales record for those bikes.
With engines I never heard of, it's difficult for one to decide.

ChinaV, thanks a lot for your advice, and hope we can meet to ride once I got my bike.

    .
    Tabao has sales record.

Look at my Tabao link I posted for example.

Absolutely. You get what you pay for, the thread humanbeing linked to is a perfect example of what kind of "awesome deals" you can get on taobao. Same bike with completely different components can be down and out right dangerous.

I don't know what jlbreda intends to do with the bike, how big he is, how much experience he has, what his expectations are, his budget, or even if his KX125 is five, ten, or twenty years old. There's a HUGE difference between a JL150 and a TGR250, so it's pretty tough to make recommendations without more information.

    Cheers!

ChinaV, thanks one more time, you're being very helpful.
The main usage for the bike is to hit the dirt. My Kx125 is from 2009. Back at home I use to ride in a motocross track near my place on weekends, just for fun.
I'm not that big, 1,81mt., and I'm not looking for anything too serious, just really for fun and to hit some dirt on weekends.
    Regards

here comes my part:-) as the preacher for the model, i recommend you look up the jialing jh 150gy-3 which has its own thread here on mcm. it is a 150cc dual-sport from the same compny as the "cabbage bike" comes for 7500 cny and a lot of people ride them here in bj.

    hello ChinaV,

i have read of your amazing RR made with Andy and Ritch on 2 TGR and on an (i guess ur ex?) XTR.
I saw in MCM kikikillercat is not happy with his Galaxy 250 as it has some problems always.
you wrote before in 2009 that you did not suggest to have an xtr as an only bike.
though I am planning to have one made in 2012...
did you have any issues with your galaxys?
is there anything needs paying extra attention?
i guess most of the xtr and tgr parts are similar. Are these bikes reilable if they are taken care normally?
it would be one of the most important to me.

i also learned that x2 is a much higher quality bike, but xtr adv is closer to my budget and it is more dual than dirt bike.
Also a Cf moto dealer selling Galaxy is close to my place which can help when having issues.

    thanks!

    the bests, sandor
