Like most of the imports... the R1 is priced... well above most other markets MSRP... got a spare 元198,000 plus tax...

They likely bought a motorcycle company or won one in a settlement in a legal dispute? Since Jianshe is held in majority by CSGC it is difficult to see what they are doing. They can shift asset around within that very large group of holdings.


I would guess that they may be shutting down one factory and transferring the assets to Jianshe in Chonqing? Maybe they shut down Zhuzhou Jianshe Yamaha Motor Co?


I doubt that they are expanding through acquisition, they are taking very large operating losses and have been for a few years.

The retro 125 offered up by Hanway has a Jianshe 125.
Motorien is rumored to be importing these, they are the Iberian importer for Daelim and Hyosung.

It seems that we are witnessing how Chinese manufacturers use this design, often using the same components, and how it becomes a generic design for their, so-called "retro" motorcycles. As far as I remember, with the first with that design was "Somoto", shortly after "Qingqi" displayed one on some bike fair... and avalanche started.

I saw almost all Chinese "engine mainstream" in these motorcycles: here we see "Jianshe", "Qingqi" offers them with GS and GN clones too, also, the inevitable CG clone, as well as "small bore" horizontals, and even enough rare, as I call them, "bent horizontal". And what's interesting, these motorcycles as a whole, look completely organic. Everything is just "as God commands".

Changzhou Hanway Vehicle Science & Technology Co., Ltd.
Established in 2000, Changzhou Hanway Vehicle Science & Technology Co., Ltd. was a cooperative enterprise of Qingqi Group. Sharing group's technology, information, researching and development sources.
The Qingqi group was disbanded, as in broken up, part of which is now part of China South Group. The China South Group includes Jialing, Jianshe and Qingqi.
Hanway still cooperates or is interrelated in the supply chain, it offers at least engines sourced out of the group as well as out of Loncin and Zongshen for the 300cc DOHC single and 250cc SOHC NC engine respectively, they are sourcing out of the Group and outside of the group as well.

The Hanway Classic will be followed by another versions.


I am also wondering…the Junak EVO 300…that may be coming out of Hanway as well.

These are branded, as Junak in Poland and may be branded as Skyteam in parts of the EU. Queen Garden is the distributor for these in parts of the EU. However they are manufactured by Hanway that sources out of the China South Group for parts as does others, like Pioneer. Somoto is a brand name sourced out of Pioneer, that is affiliated with China South through Qingqi.

Yeah, I've seen that "Romet". CG clone engine, about 1200 euros. I like his, so to speak, absence of "bling-bling" effect, in relation to this with a "Jianshe/Yamaha" engine.
