I owned a 1984 VT500 Ascot from Honda a couple of years ago. I am very intrigued by the 2013 CB500 because my old bike...I can only imagine how much better this one is based on years of improvement (yes I know that we have not had consistent standard 500 Hondas in the US). The price point is what is really grabbing me, especially as what the Suzuki SV 650 costs now (I think the name changed), even though I am partial to Suzuki. I am very interested in the CRF 250L, but this CB would work much better for my commute.

They still have not put a price on the X version...

The R version is $400.00 more then the F, the X will certainly be priced over $6k.

These will likely be popular, the CTX700N the automatic option with ABS.

About the horrid copies. I think Honda should play carrot and stick with these companies. Sue the ass out of them when they export unlicensed copies, but offer them dated designs to cheaply license.
