I haven't had any luck with racks as no-one seems to make them for 2008 models anymore. Im probably gonna ask my welder to knock something up.

    Hi Tom,

Just caught your post. I have a brand new set of Jialing racks, which was incorrectly shipped to me a while ago (long story!). They are still unwrapped. I am not even sure if they are a complete set. You can have them if they fit the model year of your bike.

BTW, I am still have the hand-me-down racks from Motokai, over which I throw my GDW waterproof soft panniers for longer trips. That, along with a top box, works great for me.

i just spent the day working on the bike and as always it wasn't a total success.

First off I built a phone mount

    crude but hopefully effective

The bike had leaked a little oil overnight and the drain pliug felt like it had possibly been overtightened. We tightened it as much as we dared and then wedged a piece of ply in between the nut and the bash plate to hopefully stop it falling out completely.

Any advice here would be fantastic!

The original master cylinder had a smashed view window so I replaced it with an old yingang one I had lying around. I was amazed to find that the mirrors were left hand threaded! Anyone know why?

The can isn't welded to the pipe and you can actually move it quite a bit. Is that normal and should I get it welded?
