My bike came with electric start only ... and has also no shaft coming out of the gearbox to assemble a kick start.
But in TaoBao i have seen the engine with a kick start shaft.
Somewhere earlier in this report i wrote about the seat height, forgot the details..... anyway, the only adjustment is riding with .. or without seat. :-) There is NO adjustment for the height. Who knows, maybe they tape a sponge block on top???????????

Yeah... Sponge block not really what I had in mind, though I bet I could make that look good!

I have figured out there are 3 shops in Shanghai that carry this bike -

KnightRider/Jiyuan Motorcycle (ShangNan Lu PuDong) - Sells CFMoto / Triumph / Yamaha / XinYuan
CF Moto Dealer (WuZhong Lu Puxi) - Sells CFMoto / XinYuan / Lifan / QingQi

Any recommendations from riders in Shanghai as to which dealer is best for buying these Shineray bikes?
Maybe I will start a new thread comparing dealers - Sales / Support / etc.

After 3500km I decided to change the crappy original chain to a good one.
    The needed chain is a 520 with 110 links. I bought a imported D.I.D. 520 VX2 110FB from TaoBao.
    Price was 670RMB.
Time to change was about 30min.

    TaoBao Link for the chain:

    http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=...id=24148964222

(you must tell the seller via QQ that you want 110 links long)

    Cool - Thanks.

Am headed tomorrow to pick up my bike with a temp plate and give it an initial workout. All of your pictures and warnings are definitely going with me to check before I get too far along.

Really Appreciate all the detailed feedback.

Looks like KR Shop screwed me so far...couldn't manage to get a temp plate and have now pushed back the delivery another week - everybody says good things about them, and yet I'm finding them to be WAY too disorganized....

Knight riders owner is a nice guy, but the shop is really poorly managed and the mechanics are clueless! I waited 30min (no joke) for then to figure out the race stand so they could work on my CF. I stopped they cold after that and said I would take it back to Jeff ob Wu Zhong lu. They couldn't get the bike off the ground, how could i trust them with service it. I never go there except when they had people riding the "MX" track in the back of the old location.... I use the term mx loosely.
