Hello! I'm Bryan aka "nongski" from the Philippines. I started riding motorcycles in 2005 and I'm still riding today. My first bike was a China bike, and my current bikes are China bikes. They have the LIFAN engine and are rebranded as the SKYGO brand.

Some of you, as I've read in other posts, were curious about the state of china bikes in our country. Well, China bikes here are well-abused giving the China bike name a really bad name. A real situation I've encountered: A friend of mine bought a RUSI branded bike (I'm not sure what engine it uses as many bikes here are rebranded) and when I told him to give his 3-year old bike a tune-up, he turned his head and said, "What's that?" Omg?

What's really popular here is HONDA. Specifically the HONDA WAVE and the XRM series. The Honda Wave is good for commuting and has become the standard bike here. The Honda XRM is perhaps the most "modifyable" bike in the country.

Anyway, here's a photo of my SKYGO Ace 125cc.

I have two more but I sold my old one since I find it hard to maintain 3 bikes.

Sorry its kinda big. I'm still getting used to the MyChinaMoto forums.

    Nongski,

Welcome to MCM. These bikes are great to learn on and I'm sure you've had a great time learning how to ride and repair these often unappreciated bikes of burden.

How'd you end up in the Philippines? I believe there are a couple other other fellows around here from the islands. Maybe you guys should get together! Do you have a riding club there already?

    Nongski,

Thanks for all your efforts! You mentioned video projects and documenting China bikes in a small town. I would like to ask what you are planning. It sounds interesting? Do you already have some of your videos on the internet somewhere?

    NOngski,

You can embed youtubue videos into Posts at MCM. If you have any cool videos you'd like us to see, feel free to post them here!

The Dumaguete Motorshow looked like a good time. These people put some massive brakes on these bikes!
