Getting Moto License in Shanghai???

Hello everyone,

I've been riding in Shanghai for several years without moto license and recently bought a new scooter (Yamaha 125 迅鹰） Really nice bike, I have real Hu A plates and the bike is registered through a friend.

Anyway, now that all is legal, I still need to get my moto license. I have a real Chinese car drivers license, but need to get my Chinese moto license. I registered on Guangzhou Road 444 (drivers school) to take the test, however, after 1-Jan-2013, they cannot offer English test anymore. I asked them and they still dont know if or when it will be available int he future.

Does anyone know where I can go to register to take the Chinese English Moto test or a company I can just pay some money? Thanks.

Ya sorry for the shit. I actually already registered on Guangzhou Road 444, paid the RMB 1450, and afterwards they told me they don't have the English test anymore. My problem is I dont have a foreign Moto License so will need to take the practical here in China, but the only place I know of where you can do the practical is in Hongkou, which doesn't have English test anymore.

top right hand corner MCM website, small rectangular bluish window.... has a small white magnifying glass next to it.... try it before posting....

Welcome to MCM. A couple of words of advice on search. The little search window at the upper right is all but useless. But the "advanced search" link below it works way better. Another approach that often works for me is to search MCM using google. Just enter your search in a google window and add mychinamoto.com to the string. It's often better than MCM advanced search.

dgoodman dont worry the practical test is a piece of piss
and if they dont have the test in engrish thats to your advantage because you can use a translator
easier than trying to understand the" translation" of the test
