#1 JH600 and JH600 B fuel consumtion12-22-2010, 02:06 PM
Hey Guys and Gals,
So I have been running around on my new JH600B for a few days now... luv'n it right now. I plan on going to the Su Zhou tank testing ground in the near future.
So I went out to day and skipped work to do a full day riding the Jailiing and see how she (JH600B code named "Chan Chu") handles on the 318 and off road. I also went to check the actual distance I could cover before needing to refuel. I am astonished to see a return of only about 190-200 kms before the fuel bars drop to the last one
Thats just better then my HD 883R (peanut tank 12.5L). Hell my CJ will get 200-250 and we all no how "efficient" they are(the CJ's have 21L tank with 18L usable).... But before I start coming to any conclusion I want to here from the rest of the the JH600 community....
What are you guys getting? I am specifically interested in the B guys chiming in, but the two wheelers info would be great for comparison ...Last edited by Shanghaifingers; 12-22-2010 at 02:09 PM. Reason: typo

I fill up between 180 and 200 km on my 2 wheel JH600. I try not to let it get down past the second bar. I do not like to walk.

12-27-2010, 06:50 AMI also fill up my 2009 JH600 pretty regularly. The best I get is about 4.2 liters/100km (or 55 miles per gallon to my fellow murricans). The worst is 5 l/100km or 47 mpg.
Given that the tank holds 19.5 liters (I've measured), I don't get nervous till my trip meter shows 350km since the last fill-up, even if I'm down to no bars on the gauge. That's a fair piece of distance.

So I guess I should hope for around 250-300 on a B if I really ride economical ..... not so great... I read on an early Jialing ad somewhere that the two wheel 600 could get 450kms at 80kph.... guess they revised that... I was hoping to squeeze out at least 380-400 but that not going to happen.... Now where did I put that jerry can????

Hi from Beijing
"B" owners are few and far between - foreign "B" owners are as rare as a foreigner in China in 1970. I own both the 2 wheel JH600 and the 3 wheel "B" and am apparently the only foreign JH600 owner in Beijing. When I showed up for a JH600 run (all Chinese) with my "B" ... the mouths dropped. This is probably why you've not had much action on this thread.
Anyways, I haven't really checked the mileage, but I think I do better. I'll check it out over the coming weeks and let you know.
A belated merry xmas & HNY to all ... and an apology for disappearing off this site for a while ... family & business matters.
Cheers
Richard

hello shanghaifingers, my JH600B (which you've seen during our last trip with H-D to Anji ) usually refuel at 200km, when the the fuel bars turns to the last one. Don't worry, with this last fuel bar, you can continue running another 50km. And if the fuel bar disappears, that means already 250km+, then the fuel alarm light will turn on in yellow, but you can still running about 10km to 20 km. My experience is based on 97 octane fuel, a ECU of 2008 and driving style never below 5000 rpm.
please check my 2 year's ago artical at: http://www.cj750lm.com/thread-23106-1-3.html , anyway pay attention not to try the longest steep slope there, cause our Jialing baby needs rpm (at least 4000) to exert her strength.CBF150 in town, JH600B worldwide...
