#1 New Exhaust for GW250?05-16-2013, 02:33 PM
I wonder if anyone here has some experiences with a different exhaust system than the original on the Suzuki GW250?
I'm thinking about an upgrade, but I want to keep the converter, and I don't want anything that makes the bike sound in idle like peeing into a tin bucket. I also don't consider the 4-pipe exhaust I saw at the shop...
I just want to give it a bit more... edge.
Any ideas?

05-17-2013, 01:19 PMHey JayDee,
Good question but I don't have the answer. I like the look of the 4 pipe system but I haven't heard what it sounds like. I don't think there are many options for the GW250/S. I have seen another one on taobao but its looks pretty ugly and it's just a single pipe that sits on the right hand side of the bike.
I'm interested to hear from any other followers who can help out.
Have you made any other upgrades on your bike, if so can you upload a pic. Great bike.
Cheers.

Hi Thomas,
I heard the 4-pipe one, but only in idle. Didn't impress me, but also shouldn't expect too much from 250cc.
Feel free to try and let me know
The other one you mean is this one, right?
I find this one the most promising, anyone tried that?
Regarding my bike, I just added a rack to support me on tours and occasional commute. It is indeed a good bike that makes me happy. Except the exhaust I don't consider any additional changes.

05-17-2013, 04:15 PMHey,
Quick reply. Hehe.
Your bike looks great, and the rack must allow for those longer journeys.
The four pipe does look awesome I think, but yes as a 250cc twin it can't sound that good. I like the sound of a hornet 250 4 cylinder. From the other exhausts you have shown I think the last one also looks nice.

Nope, but im planning to do some mods similar to this:) but i guess i need to buy spare fairings and
gas tank for the paint job.
Dont wanna alter the stock one for reinspection purposes..... I'll be getting my bike soon and will be more than willing to
share future mods:)
BTW LJH already did some cool mods on his gw, more like an upgrade, u can refer to this too

That's a bit off-topic, but why don't you check with those various car-foil shops in China if they can change the color of the parts as you want it? Easy to remove.
I thought about that before, but realized that I like the bike as-is after I got it.
