Hello from Shihezi, Xinjiang

Hi y'all I'm Robert, I'm currently living in a small city in the far western province of Xinjiang, teaching English on a 1 year fellowship. I have just recently passed my license test in Chinese, which was a pain in the ass but distinctly satisfying.

I'm originally from Richmond, VA, and the UK before that.

At the moment I'm riding a used modified Honda 250 cc V-Men cruiser, which has gotten me into trouble trying to negotiate muddly mountain roads for which it was definitely never designed for.

The riding out here is incredible, and I've only skirted the foothills of the Tian Shan or Heavenly Mountains that go from China into Kazakhstan. I'm hoping to learn a little bit more about riding in China specifics from you guys! And I guess I can answer some basic questions about the current situation getting a motorcycle license in China, as well as Xinjiang recommendations
