05-26-2013, 04:26 AMHello,
we want to drive through the Nujiang Valley. Normal entrance is from the south and then continue to the most northern town in the valley: Bingzhongluo
Anyone knows if it is possible to go from Bingzhongluo to Deqin so we don't have to ride all the way back to the south.
We will be riding small 125cc motorcycles.
I know there is not a real road for cars but maybe it's possible?

There are roads that go North from Bingzhongluo, but completely forbidden for foreigners. The road gets wiped out from landslides a lot, the only person I know that's gone through had to wait several days due to the constant construction. He's Chinese and basically told me that it would be 99% impossible for a foreigner to slip through the area without being turned back.
Cheers!

05-26-2013, 02:06 PMyes i think those roads go to Tibet which is off course not possible for us.
We want to go west to deqin.
I was hoping for some small roads or trails doable with a small motorcycle.
I read about the old tea horse route but I dont think you can do it with a motorcyle.
