Great pics and posts TB! Thanks for this.
What I like most about these pics is that I can sit back and pretend it was me on my bike doing these rides!! and then of course I get jealous cause I know it wasn't...Sam --

06-30-2013, 02:14 PMUnfortunately someone got to do it, not everyone enjoys the easy life of being an English teacher here in China....
Talking about pictures, just sorting through pics again, really love this particular painted artwork in the Beijing 798 Art District.

07-02-2013, 08:38 AMThe last advice I would personally listen to are the confessions of a former tire sales man turned English teacher out somewhere at a Chinese backwater village school...
As I have posted outside pics of my plugged rear tire in this thread earlier, here some inside pics of my worn out rear tire, had new Pirelli Scorpion Trail Tires (front + rear) mounted at the Ducati Shanghai service centre today.
The rear tire was used for approx.1600k's fast cruising on the expressway and mountain roads after the second tire plug repair (two sticky ropes) and could have been used much longer but the rear tire thread was down to approx.1mm.....
Shall continue to use reliable sticky rope repair kits in the future thats for sure as I have done so for quite a long time.
Rock on - Giddy up! Stay and ride safe! Enjoy your summer break, seeya around.... going ridin'.....

I said i would not post here again but when you direct comments about me which are untrue you leave me no option.
If you are going to make a statement get yours facts straight
1.unlike you i don't need to teach to be able to live and stay in China
2 . was not a TIRE" sale person but owned one of the biggest tyre and alloy wheel company in the UK at the time i sold out
3. Have done more puncture repairs then your have had hot dinners
4. And i am happy i live in a town then being in a Major city like you where people have to pay 150.000 rmb just buy a number plate for a bike and i can be out of town in 10 Min's
and i would not call a 1,000,000 people in our town small ???
5. here is link for people to make up there own mind on this matter

As i said before its not your fault you are arsehole must of been to do with a deprived child life you must of had
One of then 100 post from people on here who treat your comment with the contempt they deserve
Yep.. that Guyfawkes was not in a happy place... That sort appear to be rare on this site and we could have alerted the little cobber to his mi demeanour, given him the chance to mend his ways and then take action accordingly. However; and I think the general consensus is "WHY SHOULD WE?" Well I think because if we don't make the effort then we could be accused of being as intolerant as him. However, I don't believe it was intolerance rather than a rather unhappy person which caused his little outbreak.
By the way..... I was one of the people who reported him...

07-03-2013, 06:07 AMDUC-MTS-1200S-PP (2012), they are great bikes, eh? After all the bikes I owned here and overseas this one is definitely a keeper for the family collection.
Had a custom re-flash done to my ECU by a specialist overseas, absolute mental performance now, have to be real careful with heat build up in the tires as per the resident MCM tire rep experts......
Really enjoy the bike over here in China in any way possible but must state once again, BEIJING ROCKS in terms of bike riding in China!

Yeah - fell in lust with the PP as soon as I saw it - never felt as solid on a bike as I do with that one. Unfortunately, had to make the call on it and got it in the US instead of here due to price / and of course knew I would kill myself damn quick with a 1200 here in Shanghai. But to sooth my pain I just ordered an SRX5 to play with on the weekends.
