06-02-2013, 07:35 PMI am really happy to have found this site. I am the main source of information sorrounding Chinese motos in the expat community here and really don't know much!!!
I have been riding motos my entire life and have raced everthing from 490cc two strokes to Honda XR650R(my favorite bike) and even a few of those orange bikes with high priced accesories.
Last october I picked up this new Tundra 200cc for 1500$ including 2 helmets, registration and insurance.
I like the inverted front forks of this model, the standard forks are like wet noodles! The front brake actually has good stopping power but the rear drum brake is a drum brake and leaves much to be desired.
I swapped out the 48 tooth rear for a 42 and then found a 45 which is perfect!!! I drilled out the exhaust and removed the restrictive snorkle on the airbox. It runs pretty darn well and will cruise at 95km/h on the main roads.
front wheel bearing went bad at 900kms on the clock but that was a 5$ fix.
I am up to 6000km now mostly just riding to and from classes around town and the occasional weekend ride(I'll throw some reports up in the report section). It is starting to drop out of second so it will be going in to have the cases split under warranty before I sell it in a few more months.
Why sell it??? There is a new bike available under the brand name Dukare that is a 250 with disk brakes f/r, inverted forks, stainless head pipe, AL exhaust can, solid looking swing arm with snail adjusters
A buddy should be picking his up this week and I'll get some good pictures for the dual sport section.
If you made it through all that here is one more picture of over 4000meters in Cajas National Park, loaded down, 2 up.
okay one more with the surf board rack
