    basically its quite easy.

    Purchases:
    a) buy 300cc head (if you don't get this, forget all the rest!!!, I end up using a friends one unused. Now we consider to bore out a 250cc head)
    b) if having a head then buy a head and base gasket, cylinder and piston set incl. all small parts
    c) I advise to buy also new valves, valve springs and enough of various thickness of shim plates (1.2mm to 1.8mm, in 0.05mm steps)
    d) buy 2 new bolts for the exhaust connection to screw them in the head exhaust side
    e) buy a new exhaust gasket
    f) buy valve grind in paste
    g) buy ceramic for the exhaust bolt connection

How to change cylinders, heads and adjust valve timing and valve clearance you will find tons of videos in youtube.
For specific details get a Honda NX250 service manual. If you follow all steps in the manual you can do it.

    Tools:
    A) Torque wrench 5 - 25 Nm ( for M6 bolts = 9Nm)
    B) Torque wrench 20 - 100Nm (for M10 cylinder bolts= 46Nm)
    C) Standard wrench box 7mm to 19mm
    D) Feeler gauge (0.1mm to 0.5mm)
    E) A long M14 socket to tighten two of the four M10 cylinder bolts
    F) An battery power drill
    G) 5cm fuel hose to stick it at the valve shaft for grinding them in (see related videos in youtube)

    Mistake I made:
I did not follow the instruction of pulling back the timing chain tensioner.
The designed function is a one way move towards the chain.
To pull it back, a screw inside need to be turned back. I over read this step.
So I put a big pressure on the chain and ruined the chain guide in this way.
The result is more work than only big bore kit installation because you need then also to remove the complete clutch system :-(

    Potential mistake:
parts falling in the crank housing (worst case) or in the right side clutch housing (also deep shit)

No one around to machine the head to suite? Rather then another head?
