Hi Everyone,
Just purchased 2nd hand Kinlon RT200 (R/T KBR JL200GY-2) 2009 model for $1200 with 325km on clock. Getting learners licence at end of month. Didn't want to spend a fortune on a bike that I will no doubt out grow in a short period of time, but don't want to throw money away either. Would like to hear thoughts/opinions of any owners of such bike out there. Also would like information on this model of bike, owners manual or any tech specs. Have visited kinlon website and very limited information on there.
Also keen to get information about upgrades, sprocket sizes and spare parts stockists (if any). Upon first ride bike seems ok, does what it should. Plastics are craked in places but hear thisis common from reading a few threads on here. Can you buy new ones? If so where?
Has anyone out there swapped the knobbies for road tyres? Results? Looking to get a bit more top end out of it, 100km/hour hopefully.
Just after any information/advice I can get really.
Thanks
Cam

A friend of mine had the rebranded 125 version called the CCM TL125, the knobblies should mean a higher top speed due to the bigger circumference, week plastics was a comment my friend made aswell about the bike.

Dear Cam,
Welcome to MCM. That Kinlon looks like a heap of fun, even -- or especially -- with the knobbies. If you bought it as a commuter I'll understand going for a more dual-sporty tread. Where on earth is Dodges Ferry, anyway. Yeah, I could google it, but I'm probably not the only one wondering.
Blighty, by chance? Or Canada? Mind you MCM has members posting from a score of countries all over the planet. Knowing more precisely where you are will help with answering questions about parts supplies. For example, I'm thinking you won't be wanting Chinese-language links for Taobao.com...
Keep the pictures and stories coming...
cheers!

Cheers euphonius,
Yes bought it as a commuter......currently spending $120 a week to get to work. Hoping to reduce this a heap!!
Dodges Ferry is located in Tasmania, Australia. Island state off the bottom of mainland Australia.
Any advice on where to get parts for this model would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
