Although it is true that in many Chinese cities it is difficult/convoluted, it is remarkably easy to buy/register/plate/insure a bike in Beijing. You just need to show up with a shopping bag full of cash. The dealer will take care of everything. I wonder what sized bag you'd need for that 600K CVO Harley Ultra?

But you can buy a real one just as easy as a fake one. Costs more .... But you still can.

Not in Beijing as they are limited and cost prohibitive, process is not difficult but not available to most...I read a figure that several years ago there were 20K number plates in Beijing.. not sure of the figures .. but certainly this would make them expensive.

Not a A plate but B plate and license ... Yes.
This goes back to the police in Dali asking me why I want a plate. Just ride with out one.

Here in Shenzhen at some sinopec garages, they are forcing car drivers to fill their own tanks.. they have staff members standing around telling you how to do it, so I asked them wtf they're trying to prove, and apparently they're trying to move everyone onto fuel cards and self service, so that makes some sense
