  1. #1 Swedish brand Defenda = Asiawing rebranded bikes?
    Hello world,

    I need your help!

Which bike are these swedish "Defenda" based on? Are they rebranded Asiawing NC250 or something else?

How good are chinese bikes? How's the quality compared to premium brands like Honda CRF, Yamaha YZ, Kawasaki KX etc? How's the durability of the bike and engine? Quality is my main concern.

Defenda are really well priced in my country. About 4855 USD compared to 12500-13000 USD for the premium brands.

    Defenda Pro 250-X3 motocross.

    Defenda Pro 250-X3 enduro.

You might like to contact/PM MJH on this question if he doesn't respond to your post, as he will most likely be able to offer an answer your question about what this model might be based on. You may want to browse through the other threads within this category/section to get a grasp of some of the potential shortcomings or otherwise of TIC manufactured bikes...

Honestly I wouldn't touch any Chinese made bike unless it has proven western brand partner company. Most of the time you would be better off just buying a 2nd hand Japanese bike.

if you have a choice: buy a premium brand e.g. Honda!

As you learn in China: What costs nothing -> is nothing! I mentioned this somewhere here in the forum already, but it stays true

As the owner of a cheap Chinese bike, I'll tell that I absolutely would not buy a Chinese motorcycle... if I was not living in China. There's just no reason for it. While in China, if any part breaks down or off - as is usually the case - if I can't get it fixed at the nearest shop I can get the replacement part in two days. And cheap. That's my incentive and reason for having a Chinese made bike here.

Also, from the reports I've seen on MCM on Asiawing, I would stay far away from those bikes. If they were priced at about $2500 I'd say go for it, however. That's my gut feeling.

In the US, apparently the Chinese bikes are of a little higher quality than the Chinese bikes available in China. I would definitely consider a Qingqi enduro, or even another TMEC enduro (the TMEC based on personal experience and low price).

That being said, it does come down to price...I would be hesitant to buy a Qingqi-based enduro with a $3k USD price over a second hand Japanese bike, unless I could get it out the door for 3k and I was financing it(I would hesitate to finance a second hand bike of any make). A TMEC would be a good compromise paying $1600 USD cash.

I believe they still rebrand the shineray xy250. That is what the defenda was a couple years ago I currently ride a qlink/shineray xy250-g2 motard. I love it, the quality is pretty good. Not 5k good though.
