Hi all, Jim here from UK. Two weeks into Sinnis Trackstar ownership. Which as far as I can tell is a Qingqi Tracker QM125GY-2. Sinnis appear to be a UK based subsidiary of Qingqi It's probably the leading Chinese brand here at present - the Trackstar has received some great reviews in the press, What Bike voting it their best value 125 bar none. A 2 year parts warranty offered some peace of mind, though I'd have preferred it if labour had been included.

I bought it from Nightingale's in Rugby. They're a veritable Aladdin's Cave of unusual brands. More importantly for me is they've been there for years and feel like an old school bike shop, unlike a lot of shops in the UK that now feel more like car dealerships.

Riding home on the first afternoon:

How it looks now - I fancied something a little different -

I've bought it as a town bike and for riding the local green lane network - they're rural unsurfaced roads, not full on off roading. I already have a Kawasaki GT550, so the Sinnis is an extra. Having said that I'm loving riding it, the Kwak only comes out for distance work. The other advantage of the 125 is that my wife, who only has a provisional motorcycle licence can also ride it.

Still running in so staying below 50mph for first 1000km. Handles well, though the rear shocks are massively firm. I'm 15 stone, and with the preload on it's lowest setting it's just about ok. Can't help wondering how well it would run with the cat removed from the exhaust and that anti pollution valve thingie blanked off...

Good fun so far, well pleased with it.
