Just read some interesting news, the Brazilian company TRAXX a Jialing subsidiary is going to start selling the JH600 here in Brazil. It will be sold under the Name Dunna 600.

The Fly 135, which is an odd engine size sells for 5.599,00 Brazil or about $3,000.00 American, that’s pricey.

It's all about the taxes! All manufactured goods are expensive here! And if the product is imported it is outrageous. Minimum import tax is 60% and the another 18% on top of that for VAT.

A little more info, the release will be in 2012

Ahem, any reason why we have two simultaneous threads on the same topic? Perhaps they can be consolidated or one dropped? CrazyCarl?

It's certainly an encouraging topic, though!

    cheers!

I was checking the Traxx website to see if any new models are being offered.

I found this under Holdings, I added the percentages of total production numbers. Its translated.

In the motorcycle segment, CSIG acts as a "holding" company that controls the following manufacturers: Jialing (China Jialing Industrial Co. Ltd) 3.85%, Jianshe (Chongqing Jianshe Motorcycle Co. Ltd)4.89%, Dayang (Luoyang Northern Enterprises Group Co. Ltd)5.31% and Qingqi (Jinan Qingqi Motorcycle Co. Ltd). 0.51% Together, the four companies represent 40% of total production capacity in China producing more than eight million units per year, models 50-950 cc. These are numbers that make CSIG one of the largest motorcycle manufacturing groups in the world.

All the models offered in Brazil are made in Brazil, except the 600.

Actually CSIG hold 14.56% of total motorcycle production in China, that is a pretty big variance isn't it.
They are on pace to manufacture about 2.3M this year, maybe they own more then the listed companies?
