Alex, exactly what I would have done! Great choices, Kevlar grips?

800mm fat bars with 1" risers with 1 degree forward angle from centre clamps...and matching fat bar grips.... as for grips the throttle holder is 27mm grip hole 25mm so a little bit of grinding and sanding needed to make it fit. the throttle grip has extra plastic around it which needs to be removed

Definitely a nice looking setup. I'll try to find a way to check out those bars in person.

800mm haha, really wide! Nice setup. I'll go with a 750mm Renthal Fatbar with risers and Kevlar grips.

01-10-2014, 10:49 AMIm thinking to make this leap too, but as i was thinking to get Rizoma Fatbar M005 it looks like it has even more back sweep (it was 27 +- 1 degree) than original bar. does anybody know or can calculate what is original bars angle? i don't want to get bar what has more angle than original.

01-10-2014, 12:22 PMHi Wald0
as for your answer I don't know about the handle spangle angle, but I used to ride a Yamaha xt660 motard and so the ride position was fine for me so i knew what to expect, so my good old friend ebay was attacked and found a set of twin walled anodised renthal fat bars and risers for $80 (aus) with free delivery and $15 for grips (which I now need to replace as I've worn them out)..if your not sure visit your local bike/motocross shop and see if they will allow you to bring your bike into the workshop and fit a set of bars on just to see how they feel. I found mine at 0deg to layed back and moved them 1 deg forward to give the ride a more aggressive feel the bike turns a lot better, your body weight is more over the tank which helps when braking even though I use the rear brake more but to be honest anything is better then he standard bars

01-21-2014, 03:12 AMI just got fatbar installed, looks pretty much same as Pommie bar, this was some Chinese Fatbar with about 790 width.. and god.. I JUST HATE THEM! they are just too width and im not even a small guy!!
but at least they did not cost me much! .. Would had to kill my self if I had bought Renthals or Rizoma, just to notice that they are not good.

For the average person I really think 750-760mm bars are ideal. 790 are really for for motocross.
