A closer pic of the carbon exhaust. Again, the fit, and build quality are top notch. no complaints. all of the mods I mentioned in the previous post are from Taobao.IMG_20130831_122153_114A.jpg

Put some 22mm diameter, 30mm risers on my bike. So now the bike is much safer to ride at very slow speed on full lock. This is as low as I can go. So Renthal Ultra low bar 50mm, rise plus 30mm risers = 80mm. The lowest you could go is 70mm or you'd be messing with the plastic side cowlings badly, could easily lead to a low speed drop, nearly did for me twice.

I'm happy with the bar setup now. It's looks stock at first glance being all silver and not having any riser adapters or any strange colored bar. Also I felt slightly stretched out with the bar before, now it feel very neutral, perfect for city riding and great for mountain twisties.

Guys, nice posts, what about u send us the links (taobao I guess?) of your handlebar and risers so we can have a look at it?

The installation of this new handlebar require a riser as plastic buttons are touching the side of the bike right?

Yep Topmanda, those risers make the bar a safe height. I do prefer not to buy on Taobao I much prefer western companies because I prefer to be able to have a warranty, return unsuitable items and much lessen my chances of having fakes. I still use taobao though, just avoid it when it's easier. Still you need a credit/debit card and money in an account. Not a given when you live and earn in China.

    Risers are from here: http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/bi-barris04/

Here you can see the change by using the risers. Doesn't look as pretty, but the bike's feel is absolutely spot on for what I need it to do.

    Update 3700 kms.

Chain has totally died. Loads of worn out o-rings that have gotten stiff. In fact bad enough to cause serious transmission damage if I hadn't noticed when I did. If you have an NK or TR check yours ASAP. Had the chain set-up with a Scottoiler, so I'm a bit miffed. Should an RK 520 O-ring chain die that early? Could it be fake?

Soberpete's bike has got mad rusty patches on the inside of his tank, it has been warrantied. The usual glacially slow Chinese foot-dragging torture-fest of trying to get a warranty part begins again. Luckily the bike can still be ridden and it's getting too cold for enjoyable rides.
