I'll probably ride up from Shanghai, Chang willing........meet and hang with the group and then ride back to Shanghai. I suspect that's what the guys I'll be riding with will want to do........but I'll be ready to be proved wrong.

Trucks and shipping is a last resort for me unless there is some kinda time restraints.

I'll have to check my maps, but I think Shanghai to Qingdao is a 1 day ride or at most 1 1/2 day ride.

Google maps says its 793 km so thats 7 hours and 38 minutes by car.... My mechanic told me it was 8-10 days.... 2 days max I am thinking.... then trucking is out, 2 day can be done maybe three for slow pokes
I dont know why I thought it was longer

I guess he figured in EMS delivery time for parts.

Have to agree with Jim about the weight of the donghai sidecar, nice and heavy and lots of room....especially when compared with the lighter than should be cj sidecar tub reproductions that will buckle when pressure is applied, I still have around 13 of the DH sidecar tubs, as well as wheels, tires and spokes.

I thought excretions were limited to emergency stops.
